Binocular vs. monocular?
I think I have a pair of binoculars for hunting, but a monocular seems much more portable. What should I do?
I'm not sure I consider a more portable monocular, may be less cumbersome. There are about 1000 times sold as monoculars. Folks usually just hang the binoculars around their neck that makes them very portable. Monoculars are generally very small lens with a very small target – under 20 mm. What this means is that the image will not be very bright. The most popular binoculars have a target of about 40 mm, which gives them about 4 times the brightness. There are pairs of binoculars have objective lenses 20 mm if desired compactness. You will be much more practice, I think, to use a pair of binoculars to use a monocular.
