Sesame English is a innovative television series, which uses an extraordinary cast of characters to motivate children in the world to speak English. The series includes 52 episodes of 15 minutes. Each show uses comedy, physical action and music to appeal to children aged 3 to 11, while introducing basic expressions in English, vocabulary and structures. Unlike many traditional English as a Foreign Language Sesame stresses communicative English in English, with language as spoken in the world.
A new Muppet character created by Jim Henson Company's head of the cast. Tingo, a young purple, green and orange monster vaguely resembling a tiger, has a huge appetite for food, sport and adventure. Of music by nature, he sings and dances – he is partial to tango – and it is multilingual! An exchange student visiting the United States, Tingo speaks all languages under sun, including yours! Tingo has many other talents. He can cook, paint, hit a homerun or make a JumpShot? i> and plant a garden perfectly beautiful!
Sidekick Tingo and Niki best friend – a typical American teenager who lives in the basement of the house of his parents. Niki is smart, savvy and sophisticated a moment, wide eyed and curious about the next. She loves sports, horror movies and books, but music is his passion. In fact, Niki is the singer in his own rock band! It introduces Tingo and the public in English and American culture. The children are helped by Tingo, which shares the main concepts and themes in their mother tongue when he speaks directly to the camera.
Join this dynamic duo is a wacky cast of characters who visit exposure on a recurring basis. Each of these characters adds to the comic situations that Niki and Tingo are in every day.
Each Sesame English episode follows a comic story, has not the pace of a magazine format optimistic, featuring the best of Sesame Street Muppets, animation and live inserts. There are also new products action sequences that illustrate communication in English that Americans use really.
The Sesame English program was designed to introduce conversational English to non-English speaking children. All seven thematic areas, the series presents and then discusses English expressions, vocabulary, structures and action-responses, and all the letters of the alphabet and numbers one to twenty. Sesame English introduces children to the English language in a way that is fun and interesting, so they want to continue learning.
