Fashion Doll Hair with roots or Reroot What is the difference

You have projects to create your own animated character "and you just receive any new Obitsu doll in the mail. The problem is that it has no hair. But your character is not bald! So how can you get the look you want?

Or maybe the head has hair but the hair is the wrong color. How – you get the right color?

In both cases, you want the hair of dolls or rerooted roots. This can be accomplished in one of two ways:

1) Teach you how. Or …

2) Find a professional who can do it for you.

Anyway, you should know if you are looking for to have your dolls head "rooted" or "rerooted.

A chief rooting

If your dolls bald to begin with (smooth as a babys bottom) with no holes at all, you want to "root" of the head. This means you will be establishing its unique style from the beginning. You can put the holes where you want and create any look you want relatively smoothly.

The disadvantage is that if your dolls head is hard, (meaning: not too soft), it can be a pain to get holes in place at the hairline.

Another problem is that if your head is soft dolls that you may be tempted to put the hole too close that can rip the scalp and the ruin of the head.

These two problems can be over come with practice.

Rerooting A Head

If your doll head has hair, or had hair, you will seek to have his head "rerooted. The holes already define a specific style can be quite difficult to change unless you know what you do. But it is easy enough to change or replace the hair if the holes are already there.

On the positive side, you can fill or "root" bald if the hair is too sparse. But you must take care not to place too close.

Declining holes may look like they will have more hair then is really necessary and you can rip the scalp by the cap too thick.

Once again, these problems can be easily overcome with practice.
