Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi
Gone are the days when Indians had the tourism industry has received a set back. A new era of Indian tourism is the beginning and things are now falling in their proper place. India too is happy to host the Commonwealth Games exciting in 2010. And equally enthusiastic Delhi is where these games are scheduled. 85 teams of nations Commonwealth contest would be seen for 17 disciplines. Day 12 event will have a length of games, swimming, wrestling, weightlifting, cycling, marathon, badminton, boxing, shooting, athletics, table tennis and tennis, etc. to be held from 3rd to 14th October 2010.
Indian Tourism Industry and Commonwealth Games 2010
India and, more importantly Delhi and neighboring states are facing up to the Commonwealth Games next year next. Tourists will be happy to attend the competition participants in the new Khelgaon near the Yamuna River Bank, which is very close Swami Narayan Akshardham temple.
Delhi Government and the Government of India has ventured into upgradation of infrastructure. Aviation, hospitality and the Tour and travel industry will be largely benefited from the Games. In this spirit, transport services are being improved, trains Metro will soon be seen sailing passengers, new hotels springing up and existing ones renovated.
In Besides that, the monuments of Delhi and neighboring states like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh is specifically supported. The old structures are restored to their natural state. Tour operators and travel agents have begun to make reservations by tourists. They provide car hire, transfers, accommodations, sightseeing tours, lodging and boarding, etc.
Tourists coming to Delhi will have excellent opportunities to visit the famous Taj Mahal in Agra which is very close to Delhi. The beauty in marble is a must visit. Other popular tourist destinations such as Mathura, Gaya, Bhopal Puri Goa, Kerala, Simla will also receive a number of tourists.
